Leading US Bank, Senior Project Manager

Project Management of various IT projects in support of business initiatives supporting Regulatory Business change/ Responsible for the delivery of a number of IT solutions to ensure Regulatory compliance, to enable Internal Process enhancement and to facilitate Data Migration from 3rd party products. Projects cover the Software Development Lifecycle delivering the project’s technical deliverables and other deliverables to schedule and within budget. Management of 3rd party vendors. Leading UK Bank, Senior Project / Change Manager

Project Management of Regulatory Business change:  Responsible for the delivery of IT solutions to support BASEL regulatory compliance. Manage the delivery of the project’s technical deliverables and other deliverables in terms of time, cost and quality;  Project and line management responsibilities and responsibility for external contractors.

 

Organisational Development (OD):  Responsible for the Project Management, design, implementation of OD type initiatives targeted at gaining better levels of Employee Engagement and at addressing organisational cultural issues by moving the Group IT culture towards that of a high performing organisation.  Research of  the problem domain in order to identify the ‘culture levers’; Collected and understood the attitudes and beliefs from a sample of the 1500 Application Development (AD) IT staff; Produced the strategy, approach and project plan; Designed & delivered interventions aimed at engaging staff and aligning the culture to that of a High Performing Organisation; Gauged impact of those interventions; Acted as the culture champion for the area.

 

Process improvement:  Responsible for the Project Management, definition and implementation of process improvement initiatives.  These improvements were designed against the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) framework in order to gain the benefits achieved from level 2 CMM software development process maturity.

 

Assignment included Project Management for the delivery of 3 of the 6 CMM Level 2 Key Process Areas (KPAs); Project Management for the delivery of some of the CMM Level 3 KPAs.  Designed processes and artefacts for the KPAs; Designed and delivered briefing sessions and communications to sell the benefits to all staff; Supervised the implementation of the CMM processes; Organised CMM assessment training and qualification.

R&D Developer responsible for developing core functionality within the QUASAR Investment Management Software package.  Bespoke Developer providing customer specific variations to the standard product package for a number of clients. Built relationships with customers in the UK and Europe.

 

Trained internal users in the use of Property Sales applications. Provided technical support for the users. Developed communications around the applications. Liased with the developers to solve bugs and develop enhancements.

 

Implementation consultant responsible for the implementation of micro based computer systems into GP’s surgeries and Patient Administration Systems (PAS) into Hospitals.. Involved in pre-sales demonstrations; Developed and managed relationships with the customers; Worked with customers in order to understand their specific bespoke needs; Installed hardware and GP system software into surgeries and PAS software into hospitals; Trained customers in the use of the system; Worked with the customers in order to fully exploit the system to their advantage.
